Online seminar "Business and Human Rights Developments in Greece" which will take place on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, Greek time, 14.00-15.30.
The seminar is co-organized by the Law School of NOVA University of Lisbon and the British Institute of International and Comparative Law as part of the seminar series "Business and Human Rights Developments in Southern Europe", with the main objective of raising awareness and strengthening expertise on issues of entrepreneurship and human rights.
The seminar focuses on institutional and legislative developments in Greece regarding corporate accountability for human rights issues. Taking into account the discussions taking place in many countries to promote institutional interventions regarding the regulation of business activities with the aim of preventing and avoiding human rights violations and limiting the environmental impacts of economic activity, an attempt is made to investigate whether these interventions are considered sufficient for an overall shift towards ensuring Responsible Corporate Behavior.
