The company Geomiso secured significant funding within the framework of the Action "Research-Create-Innovate" of the National Strategic Reference Framework (NSRF) and, with its headquarters in Greece, is creating 4 new jobs for Greek engineers and programmers. Specifically, its research project with a budget of 200,000 euros was approved, which was submitted in the First Cycle of Intervention I of the Action "Research-Create-Innovate". The specific project was ranked 19th out of a total of 115 in the ICT (Information & Communication Technologies) category, of which 40 were approved and will be funded. It is worth noting that a total of 450 research projects were submitted, of which only 176 were approved and will be funded. The evaluation was conducted based on three criteria: excellence, implementation, impact.

We owe a significant part of our success to the entire THEA team and especially to our mentor Mr. Lambropoulos for what he has so generously offered us and to Ms. Fotis, who has stood by us from the very first moment with her valuable experience and advice. I would like to thank once again, on behalf of the entire team, both the people of THEA. personally and THEA. as an institution, without whose valuable support nothing would be the same. The incubation was a wonderful journey, which was the best catalyst for the development of Geomiso into a competitive company, capable of securing funds from competitive European programs, such as the Action “Research-Create-Innovate” of the NSRF. During this wonderful journey, our applied research evolved into commercial software, our research team into a company, and we ourselves from researchers into entrepreneurs, while we were given the opportunity to meet wonderful people, as a result of which our way of thinking improved and we emerged wiser.

I hope and am certain that the Greek Institute of Technology will continue its important work for many years to come and will contribute decisively to strengthening Greek young entrepreneurship and innovation, crucially strengthening the Greek economy.
