Do you have an innovative business idea but are hesitant to get started?
The Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry invites interested candidates from new business groups/entrepreneurs focusing on the following sectors:
Ø Agri-food
Ø Culture – Tourism – Design-intensive sectors (crafts – clothing – furniture)
Ø Information and Communication Technologies (ICT)
Ø Environmental Technology
Ø Energy (RES, energy saving, smart grids)
Ø Medicines /Health
Ø Intelligent and Sustainable Transportation
Ø New Materials
Ø Shipbuilding
to submit an application for membership in the Entrepreneurship Development Center (EDC) in the structure of the Startup Incubator within which startups can be hosted, for a period of up to 6 months.
The Incubator will provide the following services to the businesses that will be hosted:
1. Hosting business groups
2. Consulting services ( Business Plan , Marketing Plan , legal, accounting issues)
3. Specialized education/training services
4. Networking actions to support business groups
The benefits that hosted business groups obtain from their participation in the Incubator are:
§ Modern operating environment, with appropriately designed office spaces, meeting rooms and common areas
§ Modern infrastructure and provision of equipment that reduce the initial capital required, as security, cleaning and secretarial support services are provided. In addition, coverage of fixed operating costs, consumables and other expenses is ensured
§ Common interests and goals at an operational level.
§ Providing advisory support on management, marketing – sales promotion, legal and tax issues, etc.
§ Promoting collaboration between business groups
§ Technical support for gaining access to capital to finance the start-up business regarding its short-term operating needs and long-term investments
§ Providing training seminars – workshops on management issues
§ Business Networking Activities in Greece and abroad
THERMOCOTIDA ENTRY PROCEDURE & STAGES
Applications submitted by November 30, 2017 will be evaluated immediately on a first come, first served basis. Positively evaluated business teams will be invited to attend the 3-week pre-incubation program provided by the Incubator.
During this period, business groups will participate in focused Incubator actions aimed at determining the feasibility of implementing their business plan and strengthening the business skills of their members.
After the completion of the pre-incubation program, the incubation program of the business teams will follow, which will include hosting in the Incubator for up to 6 months as well as support services (consulting, networking, etc.). In order to be included in the incubation program, a business team must have been positively evaluated upon completion of the pre-incubation program.
